- Complete empathy held to mark the opening of Wanju National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage

Wanju National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage under Cultural Heritage Administration (Director Choonyoung Oh) holds 『Complete Empathy, which is a talk concert for cultural heritage where communications and discussions on cultural heritage are held on the occasion of the opening of Wanju National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage in Samrye, Wanju Jeollabuk-do province.

 

The first concert will be held to discuss our cultural heritage which was brought to Germany (under the theme of “time capsule brought to Germany in 1883). It is planned to make an opportunity for the director of the Wanju National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage with local citizens directly to make sure that local citizens can understand our cultural heritage located in other countries better with more interest.

 

 

‘Time capsule brought to Germany in 1883’ is a lecture by director On Choonyoung who introduces the details of survey on Korean culture possessed by Grassi Museum in Germany. The museum has 2100 Korean cultural heritages which have been collected since the late 19th century and living heritages such as traditional match which does not exist in Korea anymore.

『Complete Empathy is a talk concert on cultural heritage designed by curators and cultural experts from the Cultural Heritage Administration in Korea to communicate and sympathize with local citizens. In the future, Complete Empathy will continue to be a standard model for improving the social value of cultural property research institutions.
