To commemorate the Culture Day which was launched in 2014 to encourage people to visit museums, and watch movies, musicals, plays and dance performances, the Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA) and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation (KCHF) will run a media facade show at Deoksugung Palace's Seokjojeon Hall on every last Tuesday through Thursday of the month, until October. After a five-year renovation, the Seokjojeon Hall has been reborn as the Daehan Empire Historical Museum and last year, in August, on the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation, a media facade featuring historical footage was projected on the Seokjojeon Hall and gained much popularity among the public. This year, a media facade show will be offered twice a day at 8:15 p.m. and 8:35 p.m., and last admission to the Deoksugung Palace is 8:00 p.m. but during the media facade show period, the last admission time will be extended to 8:30 p.m. The media facade show held at the Deoksugung Palace symbolic of modern Korean history will enrich the Culture Day, the last Wednesday of every month, strengthening the basis for cultural prosperity and creating unforgettable memories for people.
