Can I collect and grow seeds or saplings designated as natural monuments?
- One who collects seeds, seedlings, or saplings of natural monuments designated as State-designated as cultural heritage without obtaining a permit from the Administrator of the Cultural Heritage Administration may be punished under the Cultural Heritage Protection Act.
- However, for academic research or projects to, among others, foster baby trees, one can collect seeds, seedlings, or saplings of natural monuments after submitting a written application for permission to collect and export State-designated as cultural heritage to the cultural heritage-related division of the governing local government and obtaining permission from the mayor/Do governor and the Administrator of the Cultural Heritage Administration.
