Is outdoor wedding photography allowed to be taken in the ancient palaces?

  • Taking wedding photos is prohibited in Jongmyo Shrine and Changdeokgung Palace. However, it is allowed in Changgyeonggung Palace and Gyeongbokgung Palace during hours of operation without a reservation except for during weekends and holidays when they are crowded with many visitors. In addition, Deoksugung Palace allows up to 25 couples a day to take wedding photos during weekdays but not during weekends and holidays, and it requires an on-line reservation at its website www.deoksugung.go.kr.
  • When taking photos, care should be taken not to damage any architectural structure and other cultural property, access any restricted zone, and among other things, cause any inconvenience to other visitors.
