My name is Thomas Duvernay and I was involved in the return of the flag of General Eo Jae-yeon (어재연 장군의 장군기) from the 신미양요. I am still actively involved in Korean history and culture, especially in relation to the 신미양요.

Now, I have located and obtained a sword (환도/소도) that was taken from Korea in 1871 by Captain McLane Tilton (USMC). I wish to have it returned to Korea and it will go into a museum being set up by Mr. Eo Jae-seon (어재선) who is the 4대손 of 어재연 장군. However, I would like to make sure that there are no obstacles to returning it to Korea. It is worthy of national treasure status, so I hope you will help expedite its return.
