What is the job of the Cultural Heritage Administration?
As an affiliate to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA) has been established to manage tasks related to the preservation, management,
and utilization of cultural properties. It has the Administrator of vice minister class, under whom are the Deputy Administrator, the Director General for Planning & Coordination, the
Heritage Policy Bureau, the Heritage Conservation Bureau, and the Heritage Promotion Bureau. It also includes the Spokesperson and 19 sub-organizations: the General Services Division,
the Planning & Budget Officer, the Administrative Management Officer, the Regulatory and Legal Affairs Team, the Archive and IT Team, the General Policy Division,
General Policy Division, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Division, the Archeological Policy Division, the Cultural Heritage Risk Management Division, the Historic City Management Division,
the Conservation Policy Division, the Tangible Cultural Heritage Division, the Natural Heritage Division, the Preservation Technology Division, the Promotion Policy Division, the Royal Palaces
& Tombs Division, the International Affairs Division, and the Modern Cultural Heritage Division.
