This item is one of the calligraphies made by An Jung-geun during his imprisonment in Lushun Prison. He was sentenced to death on February 14, 1910 and was executed on March 26 of the same year. The calligraphy offers valuable glimpses into the inner universe of a man who was a larger-than-life icon for the Korean independence movement. The item is 34.4cm by 66.7cm.
