This is an antenna facility manufactured by Philco Ford in America in 1969. It was open to communication in Korea when the first station of the satellite communication was established in Geumsan, Chungcheongnam-do in 1970. The antenna named ‘Cassegrain Antenna’ is composed of primary reflection plate, subsidiary reflection plate, antenna-supporting tower and antenna-running gear. With the help of Intelsat No. 3 Satellite in the skies over the Pacific Ocean, a communication network of 136 circuits was constructed among the seven countries located along the coast of the Pacific Ocean like America, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc. This played an important role in the development of the international communication of our country and this has great technical and historical value.
