The painting was drawn and attached on the walls of Daejojeon Hall around 1920 by O Il-yeong and Yi Yong-u, who were rising fine artists educated at Seohwa Fine arts Academy, the institution for fine arts education supported by the royal family. The painting inherited the tradition of colorful painting of flowers and birds, and concentrates in formative expression and technical description.
