This is a calligraphic autograph of Kim Gu (1876-1949) which is one of the roll of paper lain on his desk when he was killed on June 26, 1949. The margin of this autograph is blood-stained and vividly verifies the situation and this has a great historical value as one of his relics. This phrase of this autograph is an epigram appearing in the Chapter of Wijeong of the Analects of Confucius. Its meaning is “Thinking Without Wickedness (思無邪)” and it shows the situation and his mental attitude which he was confronted with and this calligraphy has a great symbolic value.
