This building was originally built for the Chungnam Association of Financial Cooperatives, but later came to be used as the Gongju-eup Office (1930-1985) building and then Gongju City Hall (1986-1989). It is a two-story red-brick building, with the entrance protruded outside. There are four cylindrical columns in the center of the facade, which is decorated with entablatures. Overall, it shows a symmetrical balance. Since 2010, it has been used as an establishment named Design Café in an effort to revitalize the old section of downtown Gongju.
