This building was built as residence of missionaries affiliated with U.S. Methodist Church. This three-story high red brick building connects the stairs with each floor using skip floor style, in which a visitor must walk up half stairs to enter the 1st floor and half stairs down to enter the basement. In this symbolic building, missionaries conducted their mission in Gongju since early 20th century and Yeongmyeong School, an institution with 100 years of history, began its education here as well.
