Once the home of Jeon Hyeong-pil (better known by his pen-name, Gansong), a great collector of Korean cultural treasures, this traditional Korean house is highly regarded not just for its 100-year history but also for its close connection with Gansong, who spent his vast inheritance on the protection and collection of valuable cultural items against Japanese plundering during the colonial period, and on the restoration of treasures spirited away from Korea.
