The Hanging Painting of Uigoksa Temple in Jinju is the only such painting produced by Jeong Jong-yeo, a Korean artist who specialized in Oriental drawing during Korea’s modern period. The power of the artist’s brushstrokes is well expressed on the more than six-meter-long canvas. It is considered a significant resource for studies of the artist’s work and Korean art history, particularly hanging paintings of the modern period.
