The 1st CHA Overseas Korean Cultural Heritage International Photography and Essay Contest As part of its mission to heighten public awareness and interest in overseas Korean cultural heritage, the Cultural Heritage Administration invites you to submit photographs or essays on overseas Korean cultural heritage. Please refer to the following details. ▣ Subject of Contest ㅇ Photographs / Essays on overseas Korean cultural properties housed in foreign national, public or private museums or galleries; overseas Korean cultural properties possessed by private citizens; or overseas historic sites relevant to Korean history ▣ Schedule ㅇ Entry Period: September 25 (Tue) - November 28 (Wed), 2012 ㅇ Announcement of Results: December 14, 2012 (Fri) CHA Website (provisional) ▣ Submission Guidelines and Entry Procedures ㅇ Photography - When and where a photograph was taken must be specified and each photograph must be the entrant's own creation. - Submissions must be saved as Jpegs (.jpg) or Bit maps (.bmp), and should not exceed 10MB per file. For photographs modified with Photoshop, the original files (including file information) must be submitted as well. - A maximum of five photographs may be submitted by each entrant. ㅇ Essay - The essay must be within three to five A4 pages in length, and evidence of the entrant's personal survey of the relevant property or site must be attached, such as photographs in which the entrant appears. - 70% or more of the content must be the entrant's own creation.
