"Heavenly Talents Meet Summer 2011" event

Forty-three masters of the state Important Intangible Cultural Heritage will demonstrate and exhibit their skills and works during the “Heavenly Talents Meet Summer 2011” event to be held in Seoul from upcoming July 6 to 18. The annual event hosted by CHA and organized by Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation is a special venue where the masters from 32 intangible heritage fields display their skills and talent by opening their working process or showing performance to the public. Visitors can experience making arrows, multi-colored decorative painting, making gayageum (musical instrument) strings and carving patterns on bamboo at the demonstration venue. No fee is charged for entrance and the experience program. Starting from the opening ceremony at 4:30 on July 6, the event continues until July 18 with no days off at Insa Art Center in Insa-dong. Demonstrations will be held from 10 to 12 AM and from 2 to 4 PM for four hours every day by masters from 8-9 intangible heritage fields.
