Networking of East Asian Cultural Heritage 2011 Seoul

The 7th Meeting of the Networking of East Asian Cultural Heritage (NEACH), which aims at strengthening cooperation among Korea, China, Japan and ASEAN member countries, is going to be held on June 1-2 in Seoul. The meeting will be participated by government representatives from Korea, China, Japan and 10 ASEAN member states (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam) as well as program officers from UNESCO and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Center for Asia and the Pacific in Korea, China and Japan. The member states will discuss on-going projects presented in the former meetings for the protection and management of cultural heritage in East Asia and find ways to efficiently execute them. The states are going to suggest new programs as well, and as part of the conference, a session for cooperation among UNESCO Category 2 Centers in the Asia-Pacific and ASEAN member countries is planned.
