Bring yourself onto Miryang Baekjung Nori (Baekjung Festival of Miryang), Gungsijang (Bow and Arrow Making), and Akgijang (Musical Instrument Making)! This program was supported by National Intangible Heritage Center at Jeonju, and Cultural Heritage Foundation. As one of the outstanding national public events, Important Intangible Cultural Heritage (IICH) will release a variety of Korean traditional, historical, and aesthetic programs in total 10 fields consisting of 12 experts. Baekjung nori festival of Miryang, an entertainment field of IICH, is representing civilians’' lives in the past with high quality of art and will be played at Namcheon river of Miryang city of Gyeongnam. This nori was created by farmers who took the break after hardworking on Baekjung(百中), 15 July by the lunar calendar - They were dancing, horse riding, ritual ceremony and etc.. To enrich festival mood, Gagok (Lyric song cycles accompanied by an orchestra), inscribed as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, Possessor Cho Soon Ja will participate in and practice her beautiful performance. Such opportunity that brings our traditional aesthetics out to the world will continue every month with foundation of craftsmanship.
