2012 Korean Collection Conservation Treatment and Management Grants and 2012 Korean Cultural Heritage Grants The National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea are pleased to notify the opening of "2012 Korean Collection Conservation Treatment and Management Grants" and "2012 Korean Cultural Heritage Grants" for Korean collections housed in overseas institutions. Through these mutually beneficial programs, we at NRICH and CHA hope you to take advantage of the grants and ask you to fill out the attached forms and submit it to the following addresses. 1. 2012 Korean Collection Conservation Treatment and Management Grants - Host Institute: Division of Artistic Heritage, National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage (NRICH) - Application: Complete 2 copies of the attached application form and send it to the following address ∙ address: Division of Artistic Heritage, National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage (NRICH) 132 Munji-ro, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, Republic of Korea ∙ email: Soyeonim(at)korea.kr - Application Deadline: 10 April 2012. 5:00 p.m (KST) - Amount of Grants: 94,000 USD (Approx. 100 million KRW) - Award Process: ∙ Accepting the application: until 10 April 2012. 5:00 p.m. (KST) ∙ Evaluation of projects: May 2012 ∙ Notification of the result: May 2012 ∙ Signing memorandum of understanding (MOU): May 2012 ∙ Awarding grants: beginning June 2012 2. 2012 Korean Cultural Heritage Grants - Host Institute: Overseas Korean Heritage Affairs Division, Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA) - Application: Complete 2 copies of the attached application form and send it to the following address ∙ address: Overseas Korean Heritage Affairs Division, Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA) 189, Cheongsa-ro, Seo-gu, Daejeon, 302-701, Republic of Korea ∙ email: yayagom(at)korea.kr - Application Deadline: 30 April 2012 - Amount of Grants: 94,000 USD (Approx. 100 million KRW) - Award Process: ∙ Accepting the application: until 30 April 2012 ∙ Evaluation of projects: May 2012 ∙ Notification of the result: May 2012 ∙ Signing memorandum of understanding (MOU): June 2012 ∙ Awarding grants: beginning July 2012 This grant is designed for support of Korean artifacts to be properly managed and respected. In addition, the funding is also for exhibitions and educational programs to promote Korean cultural heritage in your institution.
