As you have mentioned 수자기 is on a loan from USNA and is renewed every two years.
The Ganghwa History Museum, where 수자기 is loaned to, desires to renew the loan and has been in communication with the USNA. CHA also supports any way it can.
The possiblity on an indefinate loan is what we all hope for but will need further communication.
