The Cultural Heritage Administration has published a folding map “Ancient Capitals Tour” edited in English, as a guide for foreign tourists visiting ancient cities of Korea, the historic centers of Korean politics and culture. The map is an English version of a map published in 2009 in Korean with the same title, and is designed as a folding type for tourists’ convenience. The maps of the old cities are drawn in three-dimensional space, seemingly looking from a viewing platform, for better understanding of users on the composition of the sites. On the sheet, one can find four types of tourist information: historic and cultural resources; old stories, festivals and amenities; information on programs for old house experience; and ancient cities around the world. The ancient capitals of Korea include Gyeongju, Gongju, Buyeo, and Iksan, and they were designated in accordance with the Special Act on the Preservation of Ancient Capitals enacted in March 2005. map_01☜CLICK 클릭 map_02☜CLICK 클릭
