Built in Bungmireugam Hermitage at the top of Duryunsan Mountain, this three-story pagoda stands on a two-story stylobate. Pillar patterns were engraved in the four edges and the middle of the four sides on the stylobate. The main stone and the roof stone of the body of the pagoda are each made of a single stone. Pillar patterns were engraved on the four edges of the main stone. The first and second stories have four-tiered base under the roof stone, while the third story has three-tiered base. The roof stones are large and thin, and decline gently. At the top of the pagoda, the finial base and a lotus flower shaped stone remain. It is worthy of note that such a neatly arranged pagoda exists in Haenam, almost at the southern extremity of Korea. Although it is a little simplified in style, it looks generally well balanced. It is presumed to have been built in the early Goryeo Dynasty.
