The building originally housed Jasaeng Hospital, composed of three wings under the same roof and used as medical office, accommodation, and patient ward. The accommodation has its own entrance and yard to separate it from the office, whereas the patient ward connected to the office has a U-shaped veranda leading to an annex that was also used as a patient ward. One of the early medical institutions established outside the capital city after the 1945 Liberation, it has maintained all its facilities in good original condition, providing valuable information on modern medical service and architecture.
