The former Gunsan Branch of Korean Food Corporation was established to control and manage food prices and the amount of food in circulation by the Korean government after the Sino-Japanese War (1937–1945). It is considered a valuable material that provides historic proof of the Japanese imperialists’ exploitation of rice from the Honam Plains.
