The Collection of Historical Records of Songgwangsa Temple consists of records on the various construction and restoration works carried out at the temple between 1924 and 1943. As the records mainly contain information about the extant buildings of the temple, it is regarded as a valuable historical source for the study of the history of temple architecture, art, economy, and modern Buddhism in Korea.
