This 27-meter-long kiln was originally built to produce lacquered ware in 1949. It was rebuilt in 1962 as a terraced kiln consisting of twelve tiers, by building the walls and ceiling with bricks and adding clay to the exterior. The tiers increase in width towards the back of the kiln, and each tier has an entrance and a window to observe the fire on the right to the furnace looking upward the chimney.
