Recruiting New CHA-VANK Global Cultural Heritage Ambassadors (2nd Year)

The Cultural Heritage Administration (Administrator Choi Eungchon, hereinafter CHA) and the Voluntary Agency Network Korea (Head Park Kitae, hereinafter VANK), a cyber diplomacy organization, started the recruitment for new members to join the activities of the Global Cultural Heritage Ambassadors (2nd year) online until June 21. The CHA and VANK entered an MOU in 2021 as part of positive administration and have since been fostering cultural heritage ambassadors to disseminate our traditional cultures and history properly.
*VANK – a cyber-private organization founded in 1999 to promote the accurate concepts of Korea and Koreans to foreigners
This year’s ambassadors operation for 30 international students will comprise close role assignments between both organizations. Foreign and/or exchange students in Korea, willing to join, can register individually via the following link:

▲A special lecture by Park Kitae, head of VANK, ▲a tour of the Gyeongbokgung Palace with an expert curator, and ▲a saenggwabang experience are planned for the kick-off ceremony with the acceptees at the National Palace Museum on June 26. They will have a blast chatting pleasantly with royal medicinal herb teas and traditional desserts.
After the ceremony, the ambassadors will take on the tasks of autonomically introducing their cultural heritage to Korea and Korean cultural heritage to their own countries for the following two months. Honorary appointment certificates will be given out to those who carried out their roles as cultural heritage bridges between two countries with excellence at the completion ceremony on August 24.
