Cultural events at royal palaces and shrine on Chuseok holidays

In celebration of Chuseok holidays practically starting this weekend (Sept. 6-10), CHA decided to open the four royal palaces (Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Changgyeonggung and Deoksugung), Jongmyo Shrine, royal tombs of the Joseon Dynasty as well as Hyeonchungsa Shrine (in Asan), the Tomb of Seven Hundred Patriotic Martyrs (in Geumsan) and the tomb of King Sejong the Great without closing also on their regular holidays. The four palaces (except Secret Garden of Changdeokgung), Jongmyo and royal tombs of the Joseon Dynasty allow free admission on Chuseok, Sept. 8, and from Sept 6-10, visitors can freely stroll Jongmyo without reservation. Programs scheduled at the sites are as below. Deoksugung Palace - Traditional Korean Music Performance: Sept 8, 1500-1630hr - Samulnori, Pansori, B-boying: Sept 9, 1500-1630hr Jongmyo Shrine - Jongmyo Jeryeak (ritual music and performance): Sept 6, 1000-1100hr - Myohyeonnye Ritual: Sept 6, 1400hr Royal Tomb of King Sejong the Great (Yeongneung) - Folk games: Jegichagi, Tuho, Making Jegi using mulberry paper: Sept 6-10, 0900-1700hr Hyeonchungsa Shrine - Gayageum trio performance: Sept 8-9, 1400-1500hr / 1600-1700hr Four palaces, Jongmyo, royal tombs - Quiz contest : Sept 7-9
