Where can I learn Pansori?
- Pansori, traditional Korean opera, is an important intangible cultural heritage. Intangible cultural heritage can be learned from the masters or organizations possessing the relevant artistic talents. However, if you are not to have a formal training, you can learn traditional artistic performances such as Pansori through public education programs provided by the Seoul Training Center for Important Intangible Cultural Heritage, the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts and other local training centers and institutes for traditional arts. You can also learn Pansori or Gayageum as a hobby at the traditional cultural centers operated by individuals having these talents.
