I want to know about the Cultural Properties Administration Monitor System

  • The Cultural Properties Administration Monitor system has been launched to identify the various demands and opinions of the general public on the preservation and management of cultural properties in a more structured and continuous manner. The CHA seeks to offer cultural property administration that satisfies the needs of customers and raise its reliability by reflecting those opinions in its policies for the preservation and management of cultural properties.
  • As the Cultural Properties Administration Monitor system is meant to encourage the general public to voluntarily participate in cultural property administration, it is run on a non-paid volunteer basis granting no honor or titles to the participants.
  • Every odd year, 120 Cultural Properties Administration Monitors are recruited. No qualifications are needed to become a monitor.
  • The monitors present their opinion on designated or other topics by either posting it on the website of the Cultural Properties Administration Monitor or submitting a written report. A designated task is assigned with deadline for all monitors as a common task by the CHA. Setting aside the designated task, they are expected to independently monitor the overall status of the preservation and management of cultural properties and submit their free opinion at any time, preferably at least once a month.
